Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using UsageMeter.

By using the UsageMeter extension, you accept these terms of service. These terms govern your access and use of the UsageMeter extension for Chrome and other compatible browsers.

UsageMeter is an independent third-party tool

  • UsageMeter is an independent browser extension and companion web app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, PBC.
  • Using UsageMeter requires you to hold a valid Claude.ai account, which remains subject to Anthropic's Consumer Terms of Service and Usage Policies.
  • UsageMeter does not provide, resell, or proxy access to Claude. UsageMeter does not generate Claude responses; all AI output comes from Anthropic's own service, running in your own browser session.
  • UsageMeter does not transmit your Claude OAuth tokens, authentication cookies, or API keys to any third-party service. Any Anthropic API key functionality is strictly local and requires explicit opt-in.
  • Anthropic, PBC is not a party to these Terms. Any dispute related to Claude itself must be directed to Anthropic.

01Acceptance of terms

By installing and using UsageMeter, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not install or use the extension.

02Service description

UsageMeter is a browser extension that displays information about your Claude.ai usage directly in the interface. The extension offers:

  • 50+ themes and full visual customization
  • Productivity tools (auto-reply, focus mode, export, shortcuts)
  • Real-time usage insights and detailed charts
  • Quick access to artifacts
  • Multi-account support (up to 10 with Pro)

03License of use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use UsageMeter in accordance with these terms. This license is granted solely for your personal use. The free version can be used without time limitation.

04Usage restrictions

To ensure the security and proper functioning of the service, you agree to respect the following restrictions:

  • Do not modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the extension
  • Do not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer
  • Do not use the extension for illegal or unauthorized purposes
  • Do not attempt to bypass security measures
  • Do not redistribute or resell the extension without authorization
  • Respect Claude.ai's terms of service

05Relationship with Claude.ai

UsageMeter is an independent third-party extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic or Claude.ai. The extension simply enhances the user experience on claude.ai. You must respect Claude.ai's terms of service when using our extension.

06Versions and pricing

UsageMeter offers a free version with basic features and paid versions (monthly and yearly Pro) with advanced features. Prices are indicated on our pricing page and may be modified with notice. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. A 60-day money-back guarantee applies to paid subscriptions.

07Limitation of liability

The extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We strive to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not responsible for indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the extension. These terms are governed by French law.

08Referral Program

UsageMeter offers a referral program for all registered users. Eligible users may refer up to 3 friends using a unique referral code. When a referred friend signs up and starts a subscription (including free trials), the referrer receives a credit equivalent to 1 month of their current subscription plan, applied automatically to their next invoice.

  • Any registered UsageMeter user is eligible to participate in the referral program
  • Each user may refer a maximum of 3 friends
  • The reward (1 free month credit) is applied when the referred friend signs up and starts a subscription
  • Referral codes are personal and non-transferable
  • Self-referrals are not permitted
  • UsageMeter reserves the right to revoke rewards and suspend accounts in cases of fraud, abuse, or manipulation of the referral program
  • UsageMeter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time without prior notice
  • Referral credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded or transferred
