01Nominative Fair Use

UsageMeter refers to "Claude", "Claude.ai", and "Anthropic" purely for identification purposes, in order to describe the third-party service that UsageMeter is designed to work with. Users need to know which platform UsageMeter enhances; naming that platform is the only way to communicate this. Such use qualifies as nominative fair use under United States trademark law (New Kids on the Block v. News Am. Publ'g, Inc., 971 F.2d 302, 9th Cir. 1992) and under French and European Union trademark law (Article L.713-6 of the French Intellectual Property Code; Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2015/2436 on trade marks). We use these names only to the extent necessary to identify the service, we do not use Anthropic's stylized logos or trade dress, and we do not suggest sponsorship or endorsement by Anthropic, PBC.

UsageMeter is an independent third-party tool. UsageMeter is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, PBC. UsageMeter is not a product of Anthropic, and Anthropic has not reviewed, approved, or authorized UsageMeter. Any opinions or statements expressed on this site are those of UsageMeter's author alone.

03What UsageMeter Is (and Isn't)

UsageMeter is a browser extension and companion web application that adds UI customization, usage tracking, multi-account convenience features, and productivity tools to claude.ai within the user's own browser session. To be clear:

• UsageMeter does NOT resell or redistribute access to Claude.
• UsageMeter does NOT proxy, intercept, relay, or re-host Claude's outputs.
• UsageMeter does NOT bypass, circumvent, or interfere with Anthropic's Terms of Service, Usage Policies, or rate limits.
• UsageMeter does NOT generate Claude-like content or offer a competing AI model. All AI responses come from Anthropic's own Claude service, accessed by the user directly.
• Using UsageMeter requires you to hold your own valid Claude account, which remains subject to Anthropic's Consumer Terms of Service.

Claude™, Claude.ai™, and Anthropic® are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC. All references to "Claude", "Claude.ai", or "Anthropic" on this website, in the UsageMeter extension, or in the UsageMeter companion app are made in good faith for identification purposes only. No ownership or other rights in those marks is claimed by UsageMeter.

05Rightsholder Contact & Removal Requests

Rightsholders (including Anthropic, PBC and its authorized representatives) may request review or removal of any content on this website or in the UsageMeter extension by contacting us at legal@gaugr.app. We aim to acknowledge legitimate requests within 7 business days and to resolve good-faith concerns promptly and cooperatively.
