Nominative Fair Use

Gaugr refers to "Claude", "Claude.ai", and "Anthropic" purely for identification purposes, in order to describe the third-party service that Gaugr is designed to work with. Users need to know which platform Gaugr enhances; naming that platform is the only way to communicate this. Such use qualifies as nominative fair use under United States trademark law (New Kids on the Block v. News Am. Publ'g, Inc., 971 F.2d 302, 9th Cir. 1992) and under French and European Union trademark law (Article L.713-6 of the French Intellectual Property Code; Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2015/2436 on trade marks). We use these names only to the extent necessary to identify the service, we do not use Anthropic's stylized logos or trade dress, and we do not suggest sponsorship or endorsement by Anthropic, PBC.

Gaugr is an independent third-party tool. Gaugr is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, licensed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, PBC. Gaugr is not a product of Anthropic, and Anthropic has not reviewed, approved, or authorized Gaugr. Any opinions or statements expressed on this site are those of Gaugr's author alone.

What Gaugr Is (and Isn't)

Gaugr is a browser extension and companion web application that adds UI customization, usage tracking, multi-account convenience features, and productivity tools to claude.ai within the user's own browser session. To be clear:

• Gaugr does NOT resell or redistribute access to Claude.
• Gaugr does NOT proxy, intercept, relay, or re-host Claude's outputs.
• Gaugr does NOT bypass, circumvent, or interfere with Anthropic's Terms of Service, Usage Policies, or rate limits.
• Gaugr does NOT generate Claude-like content or offer a competing AI model. All AI responses come from Anthropic's own Claude service, accessed by the user directly.
• Using Gaugr requires you to hold your own valid Claude account, which remains subject to Anthropic's Consumer Terms of Service.

All references to "Claude", "Claude.ai", or "Anthropic" on this website, in the Gaugr extension, or in the Gaugr companion app are made in good faith for identification purposes only. No ownership or other rights in those marks is claimed by Gaugr.

Rightsholders (including Anthropic, PBC and its authorized representatives) may request review or removal of any content on this website or in the Gaugr extension by contacting us at legal@gaugr.app. We aim to acknowledge legitimate requests within 7 business days and to resolve good-faith concerns promptly and cooperatively.
